![]() You can ask for a status update on your request with your case number but be sure to convince the developers that your method has an advantage that will benefit a lot of users. There is no "Select All Gaps" command though which maybe you should request in that form to make it clear that's all you need. There is Edit > Close Gaps already (just as selecting Delete works after gaps are selected). Either option is just three keystrokes though. One deletes or ripple deletes depending on the importance of the timing relationship to another track (ripple delete may change that obviously and therefore not always desired). Personally, when I edit I prefer to Ripple Delete as I go because I can see the running time change, knowing that I near the targeted run time as the duration decreases.įor most editors it's either mark in, mark out, delete or mark in, mark out ripple delete (with no gap to worry about). Perhaps there's an advantage to keeping filing in place relative to the time line while one works but it's not clear that's an advantage. For most workflows that seems more efficient then cutting (still requiring a starting and ending cut), pulling down to another track, selecting Gaps (even if it were done in one keystroke), deleting Gaps and pulling up (even if it were done in one keystroke).įor most users it's either Close Gaps after cutting out lots of segments or simply Ripple Deleting as one goes along. Ripple Delete is itself just three keystroke. Jet Kimchrea Your workflow does seem unorthodox. This is why I'm huge fan of Screenflow! Any way, gonna go try out this ripple delete thing out! Wish I new of this sooner, I've been dying =((((((Ģ layers, Bottom layer would be the clips I migrate to a new file so that I can always go back to the original. Adobe premier has this feature, but I'm not willing to do their stupid monthly fee crap just to "borrow" their equipment. I've been a paid user for several years and they've fixed a bug that effected hotkeys immediately after I submitted a request, so I'm sure they can make this work. I'd be happy to give a huge shout out if this can be added. As you can see my projects are nightmares. I make drawing tutorials for youtube etc. Highlight multiple clips, right click for menu, New option select gaps, delete gaps, "blue sections". I'm just discovering ripple delete today, and it's definitely going to help, but I still would GREATLY appreciate the delete mulitple gaps function. Go through chunks as one wrong click and it deselects everything. My solution is tedious as well, and that is holding "command" and clicking throw the gaps then pressing "delete". It "unintentionally" throw some things off is a problem for someone who isn't prepared to delete those gaps.
